Caution Infectious

Recently, I encountered a person who infected me. This man was working the checkout register at a consignment shop I entered. He did not infect me with a virus, illness, or some other dreadful thing; no this is an infection I hope to spread more of.

Put it On

Do you ever experience days when you feel a heaviness of soul? On days like that, I know I must be intentional about my thoughts and actions. If I’m not, I will soon end out in a pit such as David speaks of. “He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of theContinue reading “Put it On”

Bless the Lord

For the past two weeks, I had five of my grandchildren under my care as their momma recuperates from major surgery. I’m not accustomed to the rhythm of homeschooling, meals, laundry, and life with five each day. In the midst of the chaos that comes naturally with kids, pets, and altered schedules, I lost focusContinue reading “Bless the Lord”

Divine Power

I have been tucking away notes, thoughts, scriptures, and questions about prayer for a few years. The intent was for use in creating a small group study. An incident occurred this week that brought that prayer focus to the forefront of my thoughts again.

Make Haste

I have benefited from, Alan Kearns, a brother in Christ who authors Devotional Treasures. I’ve profited as he shares wisdom, knowledge, and insight to passages of scripture each day. If you are seeking a solid biblical supplement for your Bible study time, I highly recommend checking out his blog. Plus, he features stunning photography fromContinue reading “Make Haste”

Breath of Hope

In order to maintain a healthy balance in life, I did not post my usual weekly devotion last Tuesday. I spend considerable time preparing each devotional. My desire is to thoughtfully present what the Lord is stirring in me versus haphazardly dumping shallow thoughts out on readers and friends.
